Statement From the Einstein Method

We, as a community, are confronting very challenging times. Not only are we facing a pandemic and all its implications, but because of the impetus of George Floyd’s death, none of us can ignore the pervasive bigotry within our communities. Never before have issues been brought forth with such force that causes one to look and confront the injustices which befall our neighbors. The ramifications for the future of this country and, in fact, the world, are enormous. It is apparent that neither will just disappear. The opportunity to stand up and be counted has never been clearer. There is not a human being in this country that doesn’t deserve justice and equality!

Heroes have emerged. All the people involved with health care, keeping the food chain going, postal workers, police, fire workers, those involved in places of business creating essential goods and myriad others have proven themselves to be noble and unselfish. We appreciate them as well. But, for The

Einstein Method, because of what we are all about and believe in; teachers always were, and are especially now, more than ever imperative. Teachers should be recognized as the heroes they are! They have had to adapt to very different learning methods in a very short time. All of us know, education is truly the key to solve both of these current problems.

Teachers, students and parents alike were thrown off course when schools were forced to shut down. The system of education, as we know it, ground to a resounding halt! Virtual learning at home became the mode of education. The pandemic has also inadvertently pointed out with a bold highlighter the inequalities in our educational systems. But how do you serve all students when some do not have access to the internet, a computer, adult supervision.

What if there are questions about the material?

The list goes on and on. The school situation for this fall is filled with uncertainty as well. How do teachers establish relationships with students they have never met? All of these questions and more fall on our educators to answer. There is no precedent to guide them. Teachers are important! The major role education plays in the future of our country cannot be emphasized enough!!! The Einstein Method is dedicated to helping our educators during this transition period. After the pandemic struck, we designed virtual Professional Development presentations, to help teachers strategize and better communicate with their students. We sent out weekly at-home strategies via email and social media to communicate with educators and parents. We included materials to better guide them during the remaining course of the school year.

The Einstein Method has been asked to provide workshop for summer programs, as well as the start of the 2020-2021 school year. If you have any ideas to help with these systemic issues and struggles during this difficult time, we want to hear from you. We stand ready to serve our teachers, parents and students in the battle for education that will benefit us all.
